G Bar G Stock Saddles

Western Ranch Saddles

PictureThis is the tree design I am most known for. We will build most all designs upon request.
Sit in our Saddle and you will never want to ride anything else!
We would be glad to talk to you about any of the saddles below or any of your ideas.  Feel free to contact us at 307-856-4717 today.

We use only the very best American Leathers and Hardware. We will only use natural sheep skin. All our saddles are finished with olive oil.
For years we have used wood and rawhide trees, but have changed to wood and fiberglass covered trees as they give more strength and more accurate design every time.  We also use wood and fiberglass trees in our Calf Roping and Team Roping,   Steer Wrestling, and Barrel Racing saddles.

You can see the curvature of the ground seat. It is all hand carved. The rig is our standard flat plate rig. This is our most popular all around ranch saddle. This also shows how our rig comes up behind the cantle and is not in the seat for you to sit on. This helps narrow the saddle and keep you closer to your horse.

You also have a choice of stirrup leather buckles. We use the Fast Buckles our standard buckle now, because of the past problem with Blevins Buckle pins coming out. We still offer the Blevins Buckle for customers who prefer them
Go to the Saddle Price List page or take a look at the combinations below. All the saddles on this site are ones made for someone. You can choose the whole look of one saddle or take parts from many saddles and combine to get the look you want.

This new design allows you the freedom to slide without any hesitation and with full control giving you full advantage of making the fast run. With the 3 1/2 inch cantle you have the holding power while leaving the box.
I have watched many years as steer wrestlers got down for that quick jump, steer sets up, his hands work, but his body was out of position, letting the inside horn past. When sliding out of the saddle your butt catches the point on the cantle, making you lift just a fraction and ahead to clear it. It is just enough to put you that split second late and your body rotates when reaching back thus keeping your body wide of the steer, losing the inside horn.

SADDLE FIT AND RETURN POLICY!!             At G Bar G Saddles, we stand behind our craftsmanship. However, it is not our responsibility to guarantee a perfect fit for every horse. As saddle makers, we cannot be responsible for fitting every horse perfectly due to variations in breed, body style, age and condition. We use saddle trees that are designed to fit the majority of horses being ridden today. With the utilization of various saddle pads and blankets, most times a satisfactory fit can be attained. At times there may be horses that are simply hard to fit using our normal saddle tree options. In these instances, it is the responsibility of the horse owner to recognize this in a timely manner. You are welcome to sit your new saddle on your horse and ride it a short distance to insure that it fits properly. If you see an issue with the proper fit of your new saddle, please take note that you need to inform us immediately to discuss options such as saddle pads, etc. If it is determined that your new saddle is simply not a good fit for your horse’s back, it needs to be returned to G Bar G clean and in new condition for a full refund less the cost of shipping. If you continue to ride the saddle to the point that it becomes a “used” saddle, you will be responsible to cover the cost of depreciation and restocking. Please note that we do our very best to accommodate and care for your needs and the needs of your horse. Thanks for your interest in G Bar G saddles and we look forward to providing you with a saddle that meets the needs of you and your horse.
